A new opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager/Senior Receptionist to join ReCreation Medical Centre.

We are a long standing private billing clinic in Melbourne's beautiful inner south-eastern suburbs. Located along a busy high end shopping strip, we are close to public transport and leading private schools. As a diverse clinic, we provide quality medical care to patients of different ethnicities, genders and socio-economic groups.
About you
You are known for your caring nature, welcoming and supportive communication approach, and ability to ensure the ongoing growth and success of the practice. This is a dual role that will suit a practice manager/senior receptionist with an in-depth understanding of running a medical clinic.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Working with doctors to develop and evaluate patient services
Patient management - managing telephone inquiries, processing patients from appointment to waiting room and billing using Pracsoft
Liaising with doctors, nurses and other medical practice employees to ensure they have necessary support
Medicare, DVA and private billing
Management of patient electronic records
Accounts and receipting
Overseeing cleanliness and restocking of consult rooms and surgery
Building the business of the medical centre
Desirable skills and experience:
Previous medical receptionist/practice management experience preferred
Excellent phone manner, customer service skills and initiative
Knowledge of MBS item numbers is preferred
Proactive in promoting and building up the practice
Ability to multitask
Professional, well presented image
Some experience using Medical Director and Pracsoft, and an understanding of a doctor's workflow when booking appointments
Flexible with your time
Cert 3 in Medical Administration will be favourably considered
